Chandrayaan-2 Lander Vikram Descent Trajectory Diversion
Image Explanation of Chandrayaan-2 Lander Vikram Descent Trajectory Diversion.
This red line that you see is the planned orbit. It was the planned trajectory that the Lander was supposed to take to land make soft landing on the surface of the moon. It was at 2.1 kilometer just above the moon's surface so this is how it is coming down descending down towards the moon's surface at 2.1 kilometers just above the moon's surface.
It is the controls that swap here but once again just 0.3 kilometers the contact was lost from the Lander Vikram. This is exactly where the point where the earth mission lost the contact and now the data is being analyzed from here. So that the scientists can understand what went wrong. We hope to get reconnect with the spacecraft and all those effort will not go in vein.
